Skin Boosters

Skin Booster

Skin boosters are injectable treatments designed to deeply hydrate the skin, improve texture, elasticity, and overall skin quality from within.

Rather than adding volume like dermal fillers, skin boosters enhance the skin’s natural regeneration processes, resulting in smoother, brighter, and healthier-looking skin with a natural glow.

1. Composition

Hyaluronic Acid (HA) – A substance naturally found in the skin that attracts and retains moisture, providing deep hydration.

Vitaran – A polynucleotide (PN) skin booster derived from purified salmon DNA. It stimulates skin repair, improves elasticity, and enhances tissue regeneration.

Seventy Hyal – A high-concentration hyaluronic acid skin booster designed to deeply hydrate the skin and improve firmness, radiance, and overall skin quality.

Both treatments focus on skin rejuvenation rather than volume enhancement.

2. Treatment Areas

Skin boosters can be used on multiple areas of the face and body, including:

Face (cheeks, under-eyes, forehead, around the mouth)
Neck
Décolletage
Hands

They are particularly effective for dull, dehydrated, crepey, or ageing skin.

3. The Procedure

• A consultation is carried out to assess your skin concerns and treatment goals.
• The product is injected into the superficial layers of the skin using fine needles or a cannula.
• Most skin boosters contain a local anaesthetic or are well tolerated with minimal discomfort.
• The procedure typically takes 20–45 minutes, depending on the areas treated.

4. Immediate Results

• Improved hydration and glow may be noticeable shortly after treatment.
• Mild redness, swelling, or small injection bumps may occur.
• These effects usually settle within 24–72 hours.

5. Results Over Time

Unlike dermal fillers, skin boosters work gradually.

Vitaran improves skin strength, elasticity, and repair over several weeks as collagen production is stimulated.
Seventy Hyal provides intense hydration and skin smoothing, improving luminosity and texture.
• Optimal results are usually seen after a course of treatments (2–3 sessions spaced a few weeks apart).

6. Duration of Results

• Results typically last 6–9 months, depending on skin type, lifestyle, and product used.
• Maintenance treatments are recommended to sustain results and ongoing skin health.

Skin Booster Aftercare

• After receiving a skin booster treatment, you should take care of the treated area by following the guidance below:

• Avoid strenuous exercise as this can increase blood pressure and may worsen swelling or redness. Avoid exercise for at least 24 hours after your treatment.

• Avoid alcohol, as this can increase inflammation and the risk of bruising. Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before and after treatment.

• Stay hydrated – Skin boosters work by attracting and retaining moisture within the skin. Drinking plenty of water will help optimise results.

• Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the treated area until the following day, as this helps reduce the risk of infection.

• Avoid wearing makeup for at least 12–24 hours after treatment to allow the injection sites to heal.

• Mild redness, swelling, or small bumps at the injection sites are normal and usually settle within 24–72 hours.

• You may apply a cool compress to the treated area for 10 minutes at a time on the day of treatment to help soothe swelling or discomfort.

• Avoid excessive heat, including hot baths, spas, steam rooms, and saunas for 48 hours after treatment.

• Avoid direct sun exposure and sunbeds for 48 hours. Always use a high-SPF sunscreen once the skin has settled.

• Avoid applying pressure to the treated area, including sleeping on the face or treated side, for the first night after treatment.

• Avoid aspirin, anti-inflammatory medication, and excessive caffeine for 24 hours before and after treatment unless prescribed by your doctor.

• You may use arnica cream or tablets after treatment to help reduce bruising, if suitable for you.

• Contact your practitioner if you experience signs of infection after treatment. Symptoms may include increasing redness, heat, pain, pus, shiny or tight skin, fever, or feeling unwell.

• Seek urgent medical attention if you experience any severe allergic reactions, increasing pain, or unexpected symptoms following treatment.
